bio
Rosa is a Los Angeles native who graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies with a concentration in ASL (American Sign Language) interpreting. She was inspired to take this career path through her older sister, who is deaf. Rosa began to learn ASL at a young age in order to communicate with her sister and acted as her interpreter during family get-togethers. This drove Rosa’s inspiration to expand and help other Deaf and their families have access to communication. Working with Infinite Flow has been a life-changing experience. Her goal as an interpreter has always been to help provide access to communication to the deaf community, and having the chance to work with Shaheem, Marisa, and the kids at Infinite Flow has been an amazing experience. Being able to witness the message of inclusion and acceptance, and to be a part of it, has been an extension of what Rosa envisions others to be a part of.
