For Principals: Letter to Teachers
Dear Teachers,
We are bringing an exciting program to [School Name] called Scoops of Inclusion. Scoops of Inclusion by Infinite Flow Dance is a short film and online learning platform celebrating diversity and empowering kids to take an active role in making the world a more inclusive place where we each feel we belong.
Infinite Flow is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit and professional dance company composed of dancers with and without disabilities using dance to promote inclusion and innovation.
Here’s a short 80-second sizzle reel of Infinite Flow’s amazing work.
And here is a 2 minute introduction to Scoops of Inclusion.
During the week of [Month & Date] plan on having your class watch Scoops of Inclusion as a homework assignment, followed by a class discussion and reflection assignment.
To access the program please create a “Grownups” account at this link.
Once you get to the “Grownup Portal” you will see the procedures outlined. Please do go through the Prework and watch the film prior to delivering the lesson.

For Teachers: Letter to Parents
Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,
I’m excited to inform you that we are bringing an exciting program to [School Name] called Scoops of Inclusion.
And here is a 2 minute introduction to Scoops of Inclusion
Between the dates of X and Y, your student will be asked to watch Scoops of Inclusion as a homework assignment.
To access the film students will follow these directions:
Go to scoopsofinclusion.org
Click on “Sign-Up” and create an account.
This will take you directly to the page with the film, along with pre and post film reflections questions.
The responses to the reflection questions will be sent to your child’s email. Please be sure to forward them to me.
After watching the film students are assigned to [STATE POST FILM ASSIGNMENT]. On [Date + Time] we will have a class discussion based on the themes of the film, so it’s important that they watch the film by that time.
Your children may ask questions relating to inclusion, disability, accessibility, allyship, empathy, and identity after the film. We encourage you to take time to engage in the conversation. Should you like more in depth info, create a “Grownups” account at scoopsofinclusion.org/sign-up and access the “In-Depth Topics” at scoopsofinclusion.org/topics
Here are four things to keep in mind:
This is just the beginning of a larger conversation on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Disabilities are very diverse. Some you can tell right away and others you might not ever know about. Hopefully this experience will help you be more mindful of peoples’ identities and to not make assumptions.
Inclusion is not something we just learn about, it’s something we actively do and create. We encourage you to talk to your kids about how to make home more inclusive.
Scoops of Inclusion focuses on the inclusion of people with disabilities, but this idea of inclusion can be applied to race, color, ethnicity, gender, lgbtq+ etc. Continue to emphasize that we are each different and that is what makes humanity beautiful.
Unless we hear otherwise, you give consent for your child to engage with this program.

Thank you for all your dedication.
